Episode 15 – Jessica Morsell-Haye
SnapSessions! presents Episode 15, featuring an interview with textile & pattern designer/Fort Bragg City Councilwoman, Jessica Morsell-Haye, as well as the premiere of our audio play–”7 Days in the Mesozoic”, a dramatic representation of the last week of the Dinosaur imperium.
Morsell-Haye talks about her outdoorsy and spirited early years as a Mendocino kid, her education at UC Santa Cruz, her year as an Exchange Student in Italy, and her studies at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in Los Angeles, where she learned the art of pattern/fashion design. She outlines a lengthy career as a designer in LA, and then describes her return to the Northcoast as a freelancer and then with husband, Mikael as the owner and refurbisher of The Golden West, a storied saloon in Fort Bragg. And she talks about her most recent adventures as a Fort Bragg City Councilwoman and mother of two.
In addition, SnapSessions episode #15 features the premiere of a political thriller audio play–”7 Days in the Mesozoic”, chronicling the last week of the Dinosaur Imperium, where factions of Meateaters pushed to overthrow the existing plant-eating coalition. Modeled on political thrillers of the Cold War, “7 Days in the Mesozoic” features the voices of Christine Samas, Dan Sullivan, and Steve Weingarten, as well as the SnapSessions Bros–Ken Krauss, Marshall Brown and Doug Nunn. With special sound design by Krauss, “7 Days” is our biggest production yet.
Episode 15 is 81:54 minutes long and includes an intro, the audio play “7 Days in the Mesozoic” (starts at 1:00), as well as the interview with pattern designer and entrepreneur/community activist, Jessica Morsell-Haye (starts at 29:40).
