Episode 14 – Carol Bensimon
SnapSessions! presents Episode 14, featuring an interview with Brazilian novelist and short story writer, Carol Bensimon, as well as articles “Guns in the USA” and “Boyan Slat, Eco Warrior”.
Bensimon talks about her childhood growing up in Porto Alegre in southern Brazil, her time as a student in advertising and business, before her studies at the Sorbonne in Paris confirmed her desire to become a writer. She talks about her novel “We All Loved Cowboys” and her most recent work, “The Smoke Gardener’s Club”, which details a Brazilian’s journey to Mendocino to learn the art of cannabis growing to help in his mother’s battle with cancer.
Episode 14 is 72 minutes long and includes an intro, an exposé on Guns in the USA (starts at 1:00), a look at the ongoing battles facing Boyan Slat’s in his attempt to clean plastic from the North Pacific Gyre (starts at 11:15), as well as the interview with Brazilian writer, Carol Bensimon (starts at 21:43).
