Episode 33 – Dan O’Connor

SnapSessions! presents Episode 33, featuring an interview with our artist of the show, actor/writer/director Dan O’Connor of Impro Theatre of LA, as well as an audio exposé–“The Strange History of Vaccination–from Medieval India to QAnon Misinformation”.

Dan O’Connor talks about his early days as a child actor in San Francisco’s ACT and other theatres, his training at London’s Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, his introduction to improvisational theatre with Bay Area Theatresports, his move to Los Angeles and founding of LA Theatresports (LATS) in the late 1980s/early 90s, his long and productive career in improv, his work as a TV director, and his recent collaboration with Jeff Katzman co-writing the books Life Unscripted and Ensemble.

In addition SnapSessions! Episode 33 starts with “The Strange History of Vaccination–from Medieval India to QAnon Misinformation”, a thorough discussion of the history of vaccination in improving the health of humanity over the last thousand years, most especially the past century. “The Strange History of Vaccination” includes detailed reporting from PBS’ Frontline and Nova reports, from John Oliver’s “Last Week Tonight” and from the NYTimes and Rolling Stone.
