SnapSessions! presents Episode 28, featuring an interview with environmental scientist and member of the Nobel Prize winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Evan Mills, as well as a salute to Daniel Ellsberg of Pentagon Papers fame, just maybe the greatest Whistleblower of all time!

Evan Mills talks about growing up as a science-fascinated youth in Southern California, studying Environmental Science at UC Berkeley and then in Sweden, where he worked on a variety of projects, before returning to the faculty at the Lawrence Labs in Berkeley. Mills expands on his work with the group that shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore in 2007 for their environmental work–the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He then schools us on his various riveting and unique energy research projects, including studying energy use in Video Gaming and in Indoor Marijuana cultivation. All in all, a fascinating life in environmental science.

In addition SnapSessions! Episode 28 presents a salute to just maybe the greatest Whistle Blower in modern American history–Daniel Ellsberg. Highlights include Ellsberg’s work in the Nuclear Weapons program in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, on the escalation of the Vietnam conflict, and his courageous outing of the Vietnam Papers in 1969-71.
